The sand in california.

bonfire after finals.

Finally finals are over! After spending the entire last week in the library, I had my last final on Friday and now I’m free! What an amazing feeling…! So many things have happened in the last couple of days – I’ve barely been home and we’ve really been trying to seize the day. One of the best nights in a long time was on Sunday. We went to Hendry’s Beach (my new favorite beach around here btw) and made a bonfire!

[beautiful Hendry’s Beach – a must-see location in the SB area]

Our cozy fire…it was so nice and warm, grilling marshmellows, listening to the waves and watching the stars…just like in one of the movies (or OC episodes)…I always thought they exagerrated…but living in California is really just like that.

what an amazing night.

  1. Superb photos! There is a nothing like a bonfire on a beach in California. As far as I know, bonfires are banned on beaches here in Florida. I am pretty sure you have to get a special permit. Anyway, I enjoy your photos. They are beautiful.

  2. Approaching my finals now in the UK and I absolutely cannot wait. Congratulations, it looks like a memorable way to end.

  3. I have to say… compliments for the pics AMAZING!

  4. Congratulations! I grew up in Southern California and your pictures make me miss the beach a little! Enjoy your summer.

  5. A bunch of young people hanging out on a beach after dark? I think, legally, you should have have been attacked by a serial killer. At least, according to Hollywood.

haha, you don’t even wanna know how scared we got when all of a sudden we heard noises behind us and saw the shadow of a person against the reflections in the ocean! heart attack much!! But as it turned out he was just walking his dog. I still wouldn’t wanna be there at night with less than four people or so keeping me company though.

  6. I’ve never been to California but your pictures make it look amazing! Congrats on having a bonfire after finals, I’ll have to keep that in mind for after next semester!
    God Bless,
    Donna
